This A2 ESL lesson explores the topic “What’s the Best Type of Holiday?”, helping students talk about different holiday experiences and express simple opinions.

 Learners discuss a range of holiday types such as beach holidays, city breaks, camping trips, safaris, cruises, and road trips, and explain what they like or dislike about each one.

Students learn useful vocabulary and phrases for describing holidays, preferences, and reasons, such as “I prefer…”, “I like… because…”, and “I don’t like…”. They also practise giving opinions and making choices using simple, natural English.

Through speaking tasks, ranking activities, and “this or that” discussions, students build confidence in talking about travel and personal preferences.

This lesson is ideal for A2 learners who are developing fluency in everyday conversation about travel, holidays, and free-time activities.
