From graffiti-covered subway cars to museum exhibitions, learners will explore how meaning, power, and perspective shape what we call “art.” Is graffiti a criminal act or a legitimate form of expression? Who gets to decide?

Students will engage with thought-provoking texts, controversial opinions, and real-world examples that challenge traditional ideas about ownership, public space, and creativity.
